Remote data capture and on screen signature is now available from Satrak. Firms can not only see in real time where their vehicles are, and obtain status reports, they can now retrieve data from the operator relating to the delivery or customer requests. Some firms are using the Satrak device to capture information relating to the hire, as well as recording any damage etc, and of course signatures for delivery. For a small extra cost a printer can be supplied allowing the receipt to be printed there and then! The data is sent immediately back to base, keeping everyone informed with what is going on.
